Requirements

  • A minimum of SPM or equivalent.
  • Motorbike and car driving licence (B2 and D)
  • Proven experience as a factory maintenance technician or relevant position with at least 2 years’ experience.
  • Ability to operate and maintain a variety of hand and power tools used in the performance of assigned duties
  • General manual labour skills. Expertise in the below areas is a bonus:
    • Plumbing knowledge to address leaks, clogs or other drainage problems.
    • Electrical wiring capabilities to manage problems with the building’s electricity.
    • Carpentry ability to handle basic repairs around the building.
  • Physically and mentally fit.
  • High level of integrity: honest, trustworthy and diligent.
  • Ability to communicate, read and write in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
  • Possess good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Organizational and multitasking abilities. Able to prioritize work with good time management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure.

Mission
Work closely with the management and production to manage and carry out factory and machinery maintenance in a professional manner. Perform other duties as and when required.

Job Description
Typical duties of this role will include:

  • Responsible for all corrective, preventive, condition-based, predictive, and predetermined factory building and machinery & equipment maintenance.
  • Machinery & equipment maintenance:
  • Ensure all machinery and equipment are in good working condition and maintained at high quality to prevent disruption of operation.
  • Provide prompt response inclusive technical support to inquiries or request whenever there is a breakdown, and resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
  • Check, inspect and observe machinery and equipment installations and operations to ensure compliance with design, equipment specification and safety standard.
  • Provide preventive and predictive maintenance checking and servicing on equipment by implementing maintenance schedule.
  • To keep track of spare parts and inventory usage to maintain spare part/inventory control.
  • To communicate and feedback to immediate superior on issues and concern for corrective action.
  • Factory building maintenance:
    • Coordinate and perform breakdown maintenance activities.
    • Applying preventative measures to the building to reduce the risk of future problems.
    • Fixing potential safety hazards to avoid injuries.
    • Develops and maintains facility control procedures to ensure regulatory compliance and protection of company assets. Develops security and emergency plans and procedures that protect Bufori staff and company assets.
  • Identifies facility risks and communicates these to the rest of the business.
  • Government requirements & relations:
    • Ensures Quality, OH&S, legal and environmental standards and regulations are complied with and liaise with relevant government agencies.
    • Responsible for keeping and update accurate records of all inspections as required by the relevant government agency e.g. DOE, Safety & Health Dept, etc, etc., which will include all preparation/rectification/update works required to comply with the regulatory requirements by all the relevant government agencies.
  • To supervise the work done by contractors follow rules and do not cause any damage to the Plant and Operations.
  • Responsible for proper care and cleaning of tools, parts, material and work station.
  • Perform other duties as and when required.
